Punta Del Este Intl. Airport (PDP) Car Rental

After Hours must be pre-arranged in advance with the location.
After hours pickup and drop off service is available for an additional cost of 30.00 USD per service.

Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 and maximum is 75

Driver must possess license for a minimum of 2 years to be eligible to rent a vehicle

There is no fee for drivers aged 21-23.

Drivers age 21-23 may be added as additional drivers only when the primary driver is 23 years of age or above.

Driving restricted within the country of Uruguay only.

Client must pre-arrange pick up or return of vehicle min 72 hrs. advance

Delivery/Collection to airport is $12 per rental

All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. 

One way charges apply and are payable at time of rental. 

One way charges cannot be prepaid.

Collision Damage Waiver - Theft Protection (CDW-TP) is not insurance. The purchase of CDW-TP is optional and is not required to rent a vehicle. If you purchase CDW-TP, the rental company agrees, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate CDW-TP, to contractually waive your responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss, fire, or theft of, the vehicle after the deductible of up to USD 3,000 depending on the car class.

If CDW-TP is declined, the renter is responsible for the full value of damage to the vehicle.

Customers can choose from the following refueling options.

Option 1- Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. The price is based on an estimate of current fuel prices at a discounted rate and the average tank size for the car received. No refunds will be issued for unused fuel.

Option 2- We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay at the end of the rental for fuel used but not replaced. The price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices, a surcharge will apply.

Option 3- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as received to avoid extra fuel charges.

A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

Credit Cards Honored: American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®

An authorization on the credit card will be taken on all rentals and may range from $1200- $2000, depending on car class. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles, late charges or citations incurred during rental of vehicle. It may take up to 60 days for charges to appear on credit card.

Authorization amounts:
$1200 - Economy
$1500 - Compact, Intermediate and Standard
$2000 - Full-size and above

Debit/check cards are only accepted at this location as a form of final payment. Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®, Discover® logo.

Cash is only accepted at this location as a final form of payment.

Roadside Protection  (RSP) - Roadside Protection and Assistance is included in the Time & Mileage rate. The owner offers 24/7 roadside assistance at no additional charge to the customer.

RSP) includes towing (not related to an accident), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, vehicle will be towed), and lockout service (if keys are locked inside the vehicle). jumpstarts, and fuel delivery service for up to 5 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel. Tire damaged beyond repair as a result of driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.

RSP does not include replacement of lost keys and the cost of a lost key would be $600.

Must meet the location's minimum age requirements.

Present a valid driver's license from the customer's country of origin.

Present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental.

International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin characters, an international drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.

Third Party Liability (TPL) is included in the time and mileage rate. Subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate TPL, this protection provides coverage for damages and injuries to third parties, up to the policy limits, and provides you with at least the minimum financial responsibility limits as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws.

A deductible of up to $8,000 USD applies, depending on car class.
