Asuncion Centro Car Rental

Customer is to return the vehicle to the location where the rental was opened. A security guard will be on duty and the customer will return the keys to the guard. Transportation will be provided back to the airport if needed. The airport is 400 yards from the rental location. A 25 USD after hour drop fee will be added to the receipt once the agreement is closed.

The minimum age requirement to drive all vehicles is 22. There is no maximum rental age. A young driver fee of 3.00 USD per day applies to all renters between the age of 20 and 21. Renters between the age of 20 and 21 may rent the following car categories: Economy, Compact, Intermediate, and Standard Sedan cars.

Driving restricted within the country of Paraguay only

Client must pre-arrange pick up or return of vehicle directly with renting location.  Delivery/Collection and Pick-up/drop-off is available free of charge within city limits.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW-TP) - The purchase of CDW-TP is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. If you purchase CDW-TP, the car rental company agrees, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate CDW-TP, to contractually waive your responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss, fire or theft of, the vehicle after the deductible from USD 600 up to USD 1200, depending on car class.
If CDW-TP is declined, the renter is responsible for the full value of the damage to the vehicle.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1- We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay National at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 20 percent surcharge will apply.

Option 2- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

National Protection Package (NPP) is a package product that includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDW-TP), Deductible Protection (DP), Third-Party Liability (TPL), and Roadside assistance at a discounted price. NPP is not insurance. If NPP is purchased, the rental company contractually waives the responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss, or theft of the vehicle, and up to the policy limits for damages and injuries to third parties during the rental period in Paraguay, subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.

Please be aware that most auto insurance policies from outside Paraguay do not provide coverage in Paraguay. Employees of the local rental car company are not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the customer's auto insurance coverage. The renter should contact their insurance company before arrival with any questions regarding their specific coverage. If the renter declines both CDW-TP and NPP, the renter is responsible for the full value of damage to or loss of the vehicle.

The deductible is reduced to zero for all car classes.

Personal Accident Insurance, PAI. The purchase of personal accident insurance is optional and not required to rent a vehicle

A PAI deductible of 550.00 USD applies to economy, 660.00 USD  for midsize to luxury 1150.00 USD  to full size SUV and above.

A passport in addition to a return airline ticket and a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

Credit Cards Honored- American Express, MasterCard, VISA,

An authorization on the credit card will be taken on all rentals. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges.

Authorization Amounts:
700.00 USD - Economy to Midsize
1000.00 USD - Standard and larger

Debit and or Check cards are only accepted at this location as a form of final payment. Debit and check cards are considered to be any non-credit card with American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club, Discover logo. Any other non-credit card without one of these logos is not accepted.

Cash is only accepted at this location as a form of final payment.

Must meet the location's minimum age requirements.

Present a valid driver's license.

Present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental.

This location accepts notarized Chinese Drivers License.

International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin characters, an international drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.

Roadside Assistance Plus (RSP), if selected and paid for at the time of rental, is available 24/7 without additional charges. The purchase of RSP is optional and not required to rent a vehicle in Paraguay.
RSP includes towing (not related to an accident), flat tire service, and lockout service (if keys are locked inside the vehicle). Jumpstarts and fuel delivery service for up to 6 liters of fuel are also provided. Tire damage beyond repair as a result of driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.
RSP does not include the replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices). The replacement cost of the key is up to 200 USD and will be added to the rental agreement.
Roadside Assistance Plus is also available without payment of this flat-rate fee. It will then be billed according to the actual costs incurred for each assistance service rendered. Roadside Assistance Plus is an optional product.

Third Party Liability (TPL) - The purchase of TPL is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. Customers can obtain coverage for damages and injuries to third parties, up to the policy limits, by purchasing TPL protection.  TPL coverage is subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.

A deductible of up to $880 USD applies depending on car class. Liablity insurance purchased on third party travel websites and insurance that accompanies US credit or debit cards may not provide coverage in Paraguay.
