Comayagua Intl. Airport (XPL) Car Rental

The minimum age requirement to rent all vehicles is 25. The maximum age to rent is 75. Renters between the age of 21 and 24 may rent the categories MDAR, ECMR, ECAR, EDAR, CCMR, CCAR, CDMR, XXAR, ICMR, ICAR, IDAR, SDAR, FCAR, CFAR. A young driver fee of 25 USD per day applies to all renters between the age of 21 and 24.

Driving restricted within the country of Honduras only.

Customer must pre-arrange delivery/collection  or pick-up/drop off of vehicle in advance.


Delivery/Collection is available at an additional cost of $20 from 0-4 KM.

Delivery/Collection is available at an additional cost of $35 from 5-15 KM.

Delivery/Collection is not available beyond 15 KM.

All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. 

One way charges apply and are payable at time of rental. 

One way charges cannot be prepaid.

Collision Damage Waiver- Theft Protection (CDW-TP) is not insurance. In Honduras, the purchase of CDW-TP is optional. If the customer purchases National Protection Package (NPP) CDW-TP is included. If you purchase CDW-TP, the rental company contractually waives your responsibility for damages exceeding the CDW deductible. A deductible of up to 2,000.00 USD for CDW and a deductible of 3,000.00 USD for vehicle total loss applies. If CDW-TP is declined, the renter is responsible for the full value of damages, theft, or total loss of the vehicle. In case the customer uses CDW-TP protection purchased online, the customer is responsible for full payment of damages upon vehicle return and will proceed to file a claim with the third party after submitting payment to National.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1- We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay Enterprise at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 60 percent surcharge will apply.

Option 2- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

National Protection Package, is a package product that includes Collision Damage Waiver - Theft Protection (CDW-TP), Deductible Protection (DP), Third Party Liability (TPL), and Tire and Windshield Protection (TWP) , at a discounted price. NPP is not insurance. If you purchase NPP, you waive your responsibility for the cost of damage to the vehicle. A $50,000.00 benefit related to damages and injuries to third parties during the rental period applies. These protections are subject to the terms and conditions outlined on the rental agreement, which if infringed, might invalidate these coverages. No deductible applies to collision or third-party damages. A $3,000.00 deductible applies to the total loss or theft of the rental vehicle.

 

The purchase of personal accident insurance is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. Personal accident insurance covers medical services, for each passenger in the vehicle, with a maximum limit of 7000 USD per incident.

All cards presented must be in the renter's name.

Debit cards, Cash and Prepaid cards can be used to settle any outstanding balances at the end of the rental.

A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental.

The deposit amount is 1000-3000 USD based on the following vehicle classes:
• 1000 USD for the categories of Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate, Standard and Full Size sedans, Mini and Compact SUV's
• 2000 USD for the categories of Intermediate and Specialty and Standard SUV's, Standard and Full Size Pickup Trucks
• 3000 USD for the categories Luxury SUV's and Vans
A credit card is required to rent the categories standard, full size, premium pickup trucks, specialty, standard, full size, premium and luxury SUV's, passenger vans.
Deposit amounts will be reduced by 25% if both CDW and TPL coverages are selected, and 50% if CDW, TPL and Collision Deductible Protection is selected upon vehicle reservation or pickup.

Roadside Plus – RSP - If selected and paid for at the time of rental, owner offers Roadside Plus, which provides 24-7 roadside assistance without additional charges.

RSP includes replacement of lost keys - including remote entry devices, lockout service - providing special equipment is not required to open the car, towing - not related to an accident, and jump-start. Tire damaged beyond repair as a result of driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.

Must meet the location's minimum age requirements.

Present a valid driver's license.

Present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental.

This location accepts notarized Chinese Drivers License.

International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin characters, an international drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.

The purchase of Third-Party Liability (TPL) is required by Honduran transport laws for rental vehicles. If National Protection Package (NPP) is purchased, it will include TPL. Liability insurance purchased on third-party travel websites, or foreign auto insurance is not an acceptable form of coverage. National employees are not trained to evaluate the adequacy of the customer's personal auto insurance coverage. TPL provides coverage for incidents that occur during the rental period in Honduras, for an amount of up to $50,000.00. TPL coverage is subject to the terms and conditions outlined on the rental agreement, which if infringed, might invalidate TPL coverage. A $400.00 deductible applies.
